Cherrybank Inn

I was very disappointed when we had the Sunday roast sharer for 3 people for lunch. There was only 2 slices of beef and 1 chicken breast on the sharer board. I had to ask the staff if we could have more beef. Also the roast potatoes were overcooked.

We arrived at the Cherry Bank Inn and were warmly greeted, with quick service to start and a friendly chat with staff, which made a great first impression. Unfortunately, things quickly went downhill from there. We ended up waiting around 40/50 minutes for just three toasties, which felt far too long. Around the 30-minute mark, we asked how much longer it would be and were told, “It’s just in now.” However, 15 minutes later there was still no sign of our food. At that point, one of my colleagues had to leave and explained she couldn’t wait any longer. Instead of being understanding, the staff member seemed to argue the point, responding, “I told you it was just in now,” like girl, be so for real, given how long we had already been waiting? There was no explanation or apology offered at any time. She then asked if her food could be made into a takeaway, we were told yes, when the food eventually arrived, it was brought out on a plate along with an empty takeaway box, leaving us to pack it ourselves! It was a real shame, as this was our first visit to the Cherry Bank Inn and we had come to celebrate an achievement. Sadly, the whole experience left us very disappointed, probably wont be back.

We were visiting Perth town centre and passed the Cherrybank Inn so thought that we might give it a go for an evening meal. Phoned them up and checked that what I saw on the menu to eat was black pepper free, they said that it was, so booked a table for the evening. We arrived there, but alas there were many stairs to climb from the car park. However I went in and asked and was told that we could park on the main street and it was only a short walk with a few steps to descend to enter the Inn. Bar that inconvenience the food made up for it ! What we were served was first class.
