Werzer's Hotel Resort Portschach

Given that this is the second year I have returned to this resort, I would like to emphasize what happened this year to highlight the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff, especially the manager. Having booked last year, in order to do the same this August, I continued to chat in the same conversation from the previous year; to make a long story short, perhaps also due to my distraction, but I believe it should have been emphasized several times by the person who was chatting with me, I received the quote for the hotel and not the resort, which are 2 km away; being the same chain with the same name, I booked. To my surprise, once I arrived there, I noticed that my stay would be in the hotel and not in the resort; obviously I was disappointed and I asked several times if we could stay in the resort, but the girls at the desk told me there was no room. At that point, I asked the manager kindly and he managed to have me spend only the first four days in the hotel and the rest of the stay in the resort, specifically in a splendid suite….. I would add, however, that I realized that the hotel is also very beautiful…. Therefore, whether you choose the hotel rather than the resort, you will still be in good hands: cool area, swimmable lake, excellent food, very kind people. Obviously I will return next year, thanks for everything

A beautiful hotel right on the lake with a dreamlike view. The location is simply perfect, the atmosphere very pleasant and relaxing. The view of the lake in particular makes the stay something very special. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

UNWELCOMING! THE sunbathing area is okay: the umbrellas are cheap and yellow, it's just a good thing there's no advertising on them. AT the beach, we were checked by the lifeguard like criminals to see if we actually belonged to the hotel!!!!! The wellness area, especially the restroom facilities, is outdated. The staff in the bathhouse is unwilling and uninformed. The dining hall cannot be surpassed in terms of interior design atrocities. The waiters keep serving with dirty tops. People with intolerances have to wait for their food like beggars in front of the kitchen, despite assurances that they would be taken care of without any problems: e.g., bread in the evening. The room is very well maintained, but the bathroom fixtures are completely outdated. A professional reception cannot save the hotel either! - And with that, the hotel's services cannot justify the price for half-board for 2 people for 4 nights at $2183!
