Feriendorf Ossiacher See

First comes the surprise that the Hotel Ossiacher See is located on a hill that needs to be climbed. For this you are compensated with a dream view of the lake. In short: the location is wonderful. The hotel not too big, familiar, modernized in public areas (the rooms are cozy but a bit old). The service is friendly, the food excellent, the breakfast buffet really rich. It is a family business with advantages and disadvantages (personal-family atmosphere, sometimes tensions within the family become noticeable).

Price service ratio, unbeatable! Very nice staff! Friendly and managing persons like me ( entering with a dog in the restaurant) polite and in a smart way! Food is basic 2-3 choice but ok. Especially if i pay 220€ for 6 nite p peroson. Really good ! Rooms are renovated and bath compleatly new! You can take pats with you up ok request !

We only stopped here as we were broken down but our room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Its made up of lots of small blocks of apartments surrounding a dining hall building and sports complex. It caters for large groups and we saw a bus load of Japanese tourists stop for one night. the dining hall is a bit manic for us even though you have your own reserved table. there is a well appointed spa , right by the lake and indoor pool. its a mile from Osiac village but a pleasant walk. it was a bit too much like a holiday park or butlins for us and we would not of chosen the place ordinarily it was only because we broke down, its very popular with families and that's its strong point.
