Hotel Seerose

We stopped by this hotel after seeing on Google Maps that it had a restaurant. We were on a road trip and thought it would be a nice place to have lunch and a drink. We were even considering staying the night, as there were still rooms available. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We found a table ourselves and waited to be served. During that time, the waitress walked past our table several times while serving other guests without even acknowledging us. We eventually had to call her over ourselves. Instead of greeting us, the first thing we were told was that food was only available for hotel guests. We completely respect that every business has its own policies. However, this restriction was not made clear on Google or through the information we found beforehand. If the restaurant is exclusively for hotel guests, this should be clearly communicated online to avoid misleading visitors and wasting their time. The service itself was equally disappointing. After bringing our drinks, the waitress never once checked whether we wanted anything else, despite walking past our table multiple times while regularly attending to other guests. When we wanted to pay, we once again had to get her attention ourselves. Rather than taking the payment, she told us that her colleague would help us, even though he simply directed us to the bar to pay. The interaction felt unnecessarily dismissive. One member of staff did stand out in a positive way. He noticed that our dog did not have any water and kindly brought a bowl without us even asking. That small gesture was genuinely appreciated. As business owners ourselves, we understand how important it is to maintain accurate information online and to make customers feel welcome. We fully respect that businesses have their own policies, but we find it difficult to understand turning away customers who are genuinely willing to spend money. A more welcoming attitude and a professional explanation would have left a completely different impression. We genuinely considered staying overnight, but after this experience, we immediately decided against it. Unfortunately, based on both the service and the overall experience, we would not return or recommend this hotel.

A fantastic experience, the hotel offers the best of the best. Wonderful location on the lakeshore. A unique ambiance, ideal for families as well as for young and old. Among the 4* hotels we know, the Seerose is excellent.

As regular guests, we keep coming back to relax, enjoy good food, and appreciate the tranquility.
