Vienna Apartment Schmidgasse

This is a beautiful apartment.Exceptionally clean. Needed an early check-in, more than accommodating, changed it by 2 hours for me. Excellent location. Would definitely stay again and will be recommending to family and friends travelling to Vienna

We are very disappointed by the lack of communication, understanding and accommodation from the owner of this airbnb due to a problem/situation with our reservation. Let me explain : we booked the trip and were supposed to stay in Austria (arrival date 2 of december, and departure date 5 of december). Free cancellation was until 17 november. On the 19th november, Austria Government decided to go on full lockdown, and tourist were no longer accepted. We sadly learned that news on the 19th november (2 days too late) that we could not be able to go anymore. We contacted the owner of the airbnb to try to make arrangements, and maybe see if it was possible to change/postpone the date of our stay (with our without charging extra money, we didn’t care to pay a little more, as long as we did not loose the entire reservation fee for nothing). The owner kept saying no and wouldn’t try to arrange the situation. We understand that it is very difficult for the Austrian people, but we don’t understand why we couldn’t settle an arrangement with him. We lost our entire reservation (and the money we put into it) independently of our will. I do not recommend this airbnb simply by the lack of sympathy and understanding from the owner.

Four friends stayed at this apartment for a long weekend and we were really pleased with the size of it, and the location. We were met by the host before the set check in time and she stored our bags for us until the apartment was ready. She also gave us somewhere to keep our bags on our check out day as our flight was not until the evening. Communication in the run up to our stay and during was quick and friendly. The apartment was very comfortable, had basic cooking utensils/pans etc, had WiFi, and a nice hot shower. It was slightly worn though and could do with a refresh, but given we only really needed a bed for the night, it wasn’t a problem. The ‘management’ pictures on this page aren’t all of the actual apartment we stayed in (no. 9), more accurate pictures would be the ones another reviewer has uploaded and the one I have added below.
