Sporthotel Molltal

I had to pay an extra €178 because I had a stomach issue. The bed linens needed to be changed, which could be washed. I do not understand why one has to spend such a large amount of money just for bed linens.

We stayed at the hotel for a ski event with a large group. Value for money was good. The food was simple but I liked it. With the ski buses you could easily get to the Mölltal Glacier and we had a great time skiing. The rooms were very comfortable and the bathroom was even equipped with two sinks. When we had a problem, the staff seemed a bit researchy, but we could always find a solution quickly and I felt in good hands. In summary, it is not a 5 star hotel, but I will gladly come back:)

Update: I have now unfortunately found out that a certain Ms. H. from my BOSS's hotel wrote about the review in which I objectively and argumentatively presented my perception, and is now verbally attacking me negatively! This immature behavior does not surprise me at all. I politely ask you to please refrain from speaking about me to my boss in the future. That is unacceptable! ———————- An explicit WARNING to all schools! Please do not come here! We should have stayed here during the booking process because the people were so unfriendly, inflexible and cheeky. The following reflects my view as a private person: First of all, the entertainment program was good and the guides/entertainers were super nice and friendly to us. The Sporthotel Mölltal, on the other hand, was an absolute disaster. Food: I understand “sports hotel” to mean something different, because the one meal that was available was mostly OK in terms of taste, but only the cheapest of the cheap was served, mostly canned food and ready meals. You couldn’t find any fruit or vegetables in the SPORTs hotel. The salads were the same every day: lettuce, coleslaw and carrot salad (from a can, of course). Children were often hungry because of the cheap food and went to Adeg a lot (they probably only make a living from school classes here!). Even then you could see how stingy the people here are. The students often had to keep their spoons, and anyone who didn’t did so was yelled at by the manager. The others weren’t much better. On the day we left, a lady came to us and immediately yelled at us that we couldn’t leave the room like that. After I explained to the lady that the children weren’t out of the rooms yet, she became meek. It was probably a different room. But first, let’s deal with us! Children: The boss doesn't know how to deal with children anyway, one girl only wanted a side dish and was insulted for being stupid and "how she'd even managed to get through school so far". As the children sometimes put their glasses down incorrectly, she was always very annoyed anyway: "If you don't put the glasses away properly, you won't get any more water to drink." A hit in terms of education. Even a teacher got to experience her special way when her colleague wanted to eat salad before soup without permission: "You are the most impudent people I've ever seen." Ever heard of self-awareness? 😑 Costs: As the hotel was quite expensive and we even paid a surcharge for the "better" hotel (the action hotel is supposedly even worse), we naturally expected decent accommodation. Even our older colleague, who had already been on a few school trips, was shocked by this "hotel". Everything had to be paid for at an extra cost, even those who consumed lactose-free food. Well, your own fault, or what's the point? 🫣 Rooms: The room doors were modern and operated with a card, but that was where the hotel feeling ended. We had to change the first room because the bathroom stank of drains. The bed creaked with every movement and the mattress was rock hard, the seat on the bus on the way home was a real treat in comparison. My cushion wasn't really a cushion, there was almost no filling in it. The bathroom in room 2 was OK and clean. In summary, the week was nice because of the program and the entertainers. The hotel and the staff, however, were a real disappointment. They are simply not designed for school classes. Children can be loud, don't like food, be whiny or cheeky. Many are also going through puberty, in love, quarrelling or homesick. I can understand that as a non-teacher you are completely overwhelmed with 50+ children, but then you shouldn't bring them into your house and you certainly shouldn't take your frustration out on minors. So I repeat, dear schools, please do not come to the Sporthotel Mölltal and save yourself and your children the trouble. 👍🏻
