Hotel B&B Graz

Unfriendly neighborhood. About a 10-15 minute walk from the center, the area does not feel very safe. In prior communication by email in the previous months, the hotel indicated that there is a paid parking lot for 12 EUR per day, a 5-minute walk away. When asking upon arrival at the hotel, the parking lot had changed owners and they no longer had an agreement with the hotel, so you pay the public price (24 EUR for 11 hours in my case). Although check-in was from 3:00 PM, they let us in earlier; the person at the front desk was very kind. The rooms were just okay, but the bathrooms smelled very strongly of sewage, which was very unpleasant. The windows had very dirty shutters, and in general, in the common areas, the feeling is not one of great cleanliness. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel (12 EUR per person) since there are options in the center with cafes and bakeries for a more reasonable price.

Located five minutes from the train station and 20 minutes from the center. Very comfortable room, excellent service and breakfast.-

Right off the bat: The biggest plus of this hotel is the location in the middle of Graz. 3 minutes walk from the train station and in 10 minutes you are in the center. The staff was very friendly and accommodating towards us. The hotel and rooms are very clean. The breakfast offered is varied and good. The rooms are a bit small and therefore the beds are quite narrow and short. WiFi and flat screen is available, but unfortunately no safe and no fridge. The view is unfortunately not very uplifting at a city hotel and despite the soundproof windows you can hear the passing tram early in the morning. Nevertheless, the good overall impression prevails.
