Apart Hotel Garni Austria

We stayed at the Hotel Garni in Mayrhofen July 2022. The room was clean but dated which was in need of a refurbishment. The Hotel Garni is a annexe to the Sport Hotel Strass which is linked by a glass bridge and you the use of the facilities of the Sport Hotel including the restaurant bar and the spa. The food in restaurant was limited which you chose from the menu the evening before. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The only downside to our stay there was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and a very small TV

hotel ok although rooms were too hot. food was good and staff friendly, nice pool and garden BUT we would definitely not return as bizarrely we were forced to pay 30 euro charge for damaged linen ie a torn duvet cover which we were adamant we had not caused. Really spoilt the holiday for us and we got nowhere when we tried to resolve it with the manageress. We will return to mayhofen but not to this hotel

On the first night, there were people shouting and chanting drunken nonsense outside on the street and throughout the corridors until midnight. I asked at the reception the following morning was this typical and could we have a room on the other side of the hotel. I was told it was not typical and no we couldn't switch room. This noise continued all week until the early hours of each morning. If you're staying with a bunch of lads and will be out drunk every night, it's probably ideal. However, if you are hoping to sleep, do not stay here, honestly. Ear plugs did not drown out the shouting.
