Hotel Rose

We’ve just returned home after 4 great nights at this hotel. It’s in a perfect location — only a 7-minute walk to the main Penken lift, bars & restaurants all the way up. The rooms were lovely. We had 4 rooms between 9 of us and all had been renovated to a really high standard, with the exception of the family room which was a little more traditional in style. The hotel is traditional, cosy & very clean. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We enjoyed 4 great evening meals and breakfast each morning was spot on — the only thing I personally missed was baked beans! The staff couldn’t do enough for us. Sylvestor, our waiter, was fantastic — very attentive and patient with our group. We did get into a little trouble one night due to noise coming from our family room where four of us were staying. We apologised, as it wouldn’t have been fair on other guests. If you’re a lively group like us, an apartment might be a better option next time. If I were returning with family, I honestly couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough. I believe there is also a sauna, although we didn’t get chance to use it. we didn't use the boot room either ads we stored our skins with the ship hire shop. The mountain views from the Day Dreamer room were absolutely stunning. The only small suggestion would be tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms — although I got around this by bringing one up from breakfast each morning.

We stayed here with Crystal. Great hotel, food was varied and a good range of buffet and a la carte. Staff attentive and helpful. Boot room in another building with heated boot warmers and lockers. Great location for ski bus and walking into town. Would definitely recommend.

It is a super nice hotel where you are welcomed friendly. The food is taken care of to perfection, with a very friendly service. It was a nice experience that we also had dinner in buffet form. There is also a good place to store your own bikes
