- Well-kept hotel, tastefully and cozy furnishings; well located for snowboarding / skiing and hiking; large & beautiful wellness features - Tasty and varied cuisine - They made efforts to answer my questions quickly (especially by mail) and meet my request for gluten-free / lactose-free breakfast & dinner. They looked at me with a long face and did not take the time or patience to listen to my right question. - The friendliness often left something to be desired, especially with the lady at the reception; this both with numerous other travelers, our tour organizer and myself! - On a few days before the hotel closed the winter season (closing from Sunday afternoon 19/4), many drinks were no longer available or they no longer bothered to make a cocktail or offer certain things. - Skiraum what on the smallest and no lockers - no fridge in room - chauffage not to be arranged - "There is no safe in the room. Small lockers can be rented at reception for €2.00 per day. (These are located at reception; you will receive a key and have 24-hour access.)": seems essential to me for the room; not to be seen at reception either.+ I didn't ask about it, they looked dirty enough.

As a professionally frequented skier across all continents, I enjoy visiting only the really special places in the pension. “Coming home” at Laurin is exactly that for me every time. Everything fits here: Just a few steps from the bed to the fantastic slopes – this time with perfect furnishing, almost like lemon sorbet. During the après-ski a glass of Riesling, accompanied not by loud music, but by the chirping of the snowfinches on the sun terrace. The house also convinces culinary delights every time: honest ingredients, finely prepared and with pleasant refinement. You’d like to try everything – even if it’s almost too much of a good thing. In short: The Laurin is a special place for me – and always a perfect break.

We recently stayed in the King Laurin Suite for €355 per night. While the location and fantastic views (separate living/bedroom, two balconies) were the only real highlights, the hotel disappointed in service and catering. Service & reception: The arrival was hypothermic and impersonal. There was no “welcome”, no question about how to get there and no introduction to the house (wellness, fitness, meal times). We were rather handled and merely referred to the floor. We have already experienced hospitality more warmly in Tyrol. Another negative point: There were no bathrobes in the room; these had to be borrowed extra for a rental fee. In addition, we found the suggestion in the room information that the consumption of food and drinks brought with us in the room is not desired or prohibited as strange and patronizing. At this room rate, such a regulation is absolutely inappropriate. Culinary – Need improvement: • Breakfast: Very narrow, hardly any variety and after 7 days simply monotonous. There was no curd and the coffee was very thin by default (only on demand were there stronger ones). That you had to pay extra for omelette, fried egg, cappuccino or latte macchiato, we found inappropriate. • Dinner: The salad buffet was loveless. Instead of fresh baguette, we had sliced bread rolls from breakfast – without butter! We had to make do with olive oil. • Positive to highlight: The portions at the evening menu were very manageable, so my almost 2m tall son was not fed up, but the kitchen responded to demand very flexibly and delivered double portions without any problems, which we found very positive. • Drinks: A carafe of tap water at dinner cost €3.80 – the same water that was free in the morning. A qualitatively simple ski water cost 3.90 €. Location & comfort: • Ski-in/ski-out limited: Access to the slopes is possible via a metal staircase, which we did not feel was a classic ski-in/ski-out. A ski depot on the slopes cost €35 extra as the hotel did not offer its own comfortable solution directly on site. • Suite: The view was world class and the room was generally fine. However, the carpeting installed is not really practical; here a high-quality laminate or parquet floor would be much more hygienic and contemporary. In addition, many hooks for towels and clothes were missing in the entire room / bathroom. • Design contrast: The bar and entrance were state-of-the-art, while the dining room for hotel guests was very old-fashioned. There was obviously a saving on the regular here. Wellness & fitness: The wellness area was fine overall, though a bit confusing. The indoor pool offered great panoramic views through the glazing, but was very small. Steam room and sauna were available. The gym also scored with a great panorama. By and large, okay. Conclusion: You pay a very high price for the location here, but get a service in the service and food that does not do justice to the price-performance ratio. Those who value cordiality, small attentions and comprehensive food will find better alternatives in the region.
