Austria Classic Hotel Wolfinger

The hotel’s location is very central, which is convenient. However, arriving by car is quite challenging because the hotel is located on a street with restricted vehicle access. The building is historic, so there is no elevator to the reception, which is located on the first floor. Carrying luggage up the stairs is difficult, especially if you have heavy bags. Unfortunately, some of the information provided when I booked the room was inaccurate. The listing mentioned free Wi-Fi, but the internet connection was very poor. It also stated that parking was available for an additional fee and highlighted an excellent breakfast. However, when we arrived, we were told that breakfast was not included and would cost €19 per person, which felt quite expensive. Our arrival experience was also disappointing. Oliver, who was working at reception when we checked in, came across as unfriendly and arrogant, making us feel unwelcome. If you’re traveling by public transport and have little or no luggage, this hotel may be suitable. Otherwise, especially if you’re arriving by car or carrying several bags, I would recommend choosing a different hotel.

We were there in June and can only recommend the hotel. The location in the center is fantastic. The house is historic but has been carefully adapted to modern times. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is plentiful. Parking in the nearby public underground garage is optimal. We would gladly come back!

Stayed at the hotel as part of a flight and hotel package. Overall, I was slightly disappointed with the hotel, though the location couldn't be better on the main square. My main issues were with the size of the room and location within the hotel which was quite a distance to walk. The other aspect was that the reception staff were unhelpful and not welcoming in any way, not even a smile to be had! Therefore overall, would I recommend, yes on the basis of the location, but make sure to get a room to the front of the hotel, and just hope you get a smile from the staff!
