Austria Trend Hotel Schillerpark

I remain perplexed reading the other reviews. Perhaps we were unlucky with the two rooms we were assigned, but it is not realistic to classify this hotel as a 4-star. Poor cleanliness, dated rooms, stained carpet, air conditioning manually adjustable via a 90s-style dial where it is almost impossible to figure out how to set the temperature, and a very noisy fan even when set to the minimum level. Television about 20 years old, obviously lacking any type of connectivity. Bathroom door with a nice porthole for the joy of those sleeping while someone is using it. Throughout the afternoon there was noise from the bathroom drain; it was explained to us that it is a "normal" noise related to maintenance that is done in the afternoon, so if you want to rest, in a nutshell, you can only do it after 7:00 PM. Excellent location, but in general, based on our experience and the rooms assigned (I am attaching photos), the property is old and neglected. Kind staff

Wow, walking inside was already an experience! Our room was… really good. It’s really good! We even had an own iPad! I am not sure if I’m dreaming or I bought an hotel room.

I stayed in this hotel for one night on business and was very satisfied overall. The central location is ideal; everything is quickly accessible. The room was clean and well-maintained, exactly what one needs for a short stay. Definitely a recommendable choice for business travelers.
