Not clean - since the takeover, everything has gone downhill catastrophically It is not being cleaned because housekeeping is outsourced. You are supposedly supposed to "order" it at the front desk, and even when you personally arrange with the housekeeping manager what urgently needs to be cleaned, nothing happens. The air conditioning was broken and no attempt was made to find a solution, e.g., trying to offer a fan or something similar. Leaving the windows open was the only option - but then you can go hunting for mosquitoes in the room. Furthermore, the second room (after we had changed the first one due to a complete lack of cleaning) was just as poorly cleaned. We did not come here to clean ourselves. And the hallways are not being cleaned either - there is chipped plaster and dust bunnies everywhere. The manager is unavailable or has herself denied. This has nothing to do with being solution-oriented. It is now just a capital asset from which every cent is to be squeezed - this has nothing to do with comfort anymore. Unfortunately, sleeping with the windows open is also not possible because all the bars and pubs around offer parties all night long and there is quite a lot of celebrating going on.

The very nice staff, who tried their best to cover up the chaos a bit. Dirty rooms. Dirt everywhere, No soap and then the whole night downstairs with coffee, music as loud as possible until 5:00 AM, followed by farewell shouting until 6:00 AM Breakfast on the last day, no eggs, no rolls, no croissants, no fruit,

I booked this hotel in October 2025 for 23–26 February 2026. One week before international travel, the reservation was cancelled because the property was closed during a changeover to new management. No comparable alternatives were available in Wels. The only practical option was to stay in Linz, requiring daily train travel for two people, adding extra cost and time. Booking.com offered EUR 60 in assistance, which did not cover the additional accommodation or transportation expenses. This cancellation significantly disrupted my plans to attend a business conference in Wels.
