Hotel Schild Vienna

Not recommended!!!!! I've never experienced such cheekiness! I had booked the hotel for three nights. I got a room where it smelled a lot like cigarette smoke! I asked to move to a different room – but everything was supposedly booked! The next morning I drove to an appointment. When I returned at 11pm, there was a stranger in my room sleeping there!!! My belongings had disappeared!!! You could not reach anyone – neither by phone nor at the reception. After a long back and forth another door was opened to me via a remote control, but my personal belongings weren't there! No reception, no information, no news of an alleged “move” to another room, no key – nothing at all! Zero respect for guests! If you are looking for a hotel – it is definitely not this one!

I must disagree with the many bad responses. Cleanest room, in all areas, breakfast: perfect offer. Completely satisfied

We were looking for accommodation in Vienna. My partner is from Vienna and meant 4 stars in the 19th century. District, nothing was supposed to go wrong and booked. But far from it! The rooms are enormously dirty, the linen is apparently not changed between guests! There's hair in all the beds and I'm not talking about one! My partner even wanted to sleep in the car! The receptionist is very friendly, unfortunately can only help to a limited extent! When we wanted to ask for another room in front of us at the reception was a couple who had complained about urine stench, dirty bathroom and sticky floors. It does not seem to be an isolated incident! Too bad, the location would be top, only the request for a parking space went unanswered and then there was no one available. We were then offered a free breakfast for the dirty room, which we thankfully declined, however, because the trust in the hygiene in this house was already no longer there at that time... When we had emptied our cold coffee in the morning and the bedsheet was dirty, the maid simply made the bed asymmetrically next to it and left the stain. Of course, you can do it that way. But she accepted the 10€ tip... That's not how hospitality and service can be...
