La Prima Fashion Hotel Vienna

The location was good, easily accessible. After all, in Vienna public transport works well and it is always easy to get around. The room was the worst I've ever had. I've been around a lot of places but this was by far the worst. There is no bed but an uncomfortable sofa bed without even a mattress cover. It was a terrible inconvenience, it was impossible to sleep. We had back pain and my girlfriend also had skin irritation probably due to mites. The room was freezing. I'm not exaggerating. It was freezing, we were in late December in Vienna, I can imagine the weather conditions. There was only one radiator in the bathroom. Trying to turn on the ventilation system only cold air came out. We came home with bronchitis. The room was dirty. For those who suffer from asthma and allergies it is a certain sentence. We tried only the first day breakfast at a cost of 14 € per person. We did not like it because there was neither coffee (it was served in a black water barrel that did not even taste like coffee) nor croissants. The rest of the kitchen was not the highest quality. As if that wasn't enough at checkout they tried to charge us a second breakfast. This is because a colleague of the receptionist “would have seen us sitting down for breakfast”. You pass everything but being accused of stealing food is really too much. I had to argue to prove that I had not consumed this second breakfast. The receptionist was rude and didn't even say hello. So what can I say, it was undoubtedly the worst experience I have ever had on the road. I do not recommend this place and hope it does not happen again. I pointed this out to Booking, the platform I used to book. It deserves zero stars. A terrible place run very badly by rude people. I never bothered to write reviews. This is one of the few and the only negative. I travelled a lot but this time I felt compelled to report what happened. Never again Safestay Vienna

Breakfast was good. Room was big and well heated, but the bed was uncomfortable. No bottles of water in the room. The reception did non communicate that the rooms were cleaned only every other day. Location not far from city centre and metro, but it was not easy to reach the train station when leaving. Could be better.

The location of the Safestay and the published pictures as well as parts of the reviews were the motivation for the Booking Referral. In fact, the situation is convincing. The underground station as well as Karlsplatz itself are within walking distance. Great. The check-in was very bumpy. The staff, so no one I met speaks German (very strange in the Austrian capital...a country where German is the official language. But not even English is sometimes spoken sufficiently well. Otherwise rough, monosyllabic and tends to be unfriendly. The room itself is quite small and massively worn. Towels are placed on the bed. Why? They belong in the bathroom. Very thin flags that have been under their belt for a few years. The box spring bed is only half. The completely sagged mattress, through which you can feel every feather, is placed on a profane wooden box. This is not the idea of the box spring bed. Correspondingly, the lying comfort is poor. The tiles in the bathroom moulded on, the dispenser of the shower room defective, the toilet brush apparently replaced by a much shorter replacement brush. The room is only cleaned every three days or the beds are made. All of course without prior notice on arrival. In addition, the house is very noisy. Many, loud noises that are difficult to attribute (renovation noise?). Besides the poor bed, this disturbs recovery. Overall a disappointing, bad hotel experience without any passion for the guest. You want to make money quickly here. In the many years that I now visit Vienna, but also in the many years that I also travel internationally on business, I have rarely experienced a house that the guest is so unappreciated for. No recommendation: No hospitality, no quality and too expensive. I would avoid this hotel and will certainly not visit any other house in this chain.
