Hotel Das President Wien

A few worn parts (chair, carpet, floor) prevent a perfect score. We stayed in a clean room, enjoyed the breakfast, and were always greeted kindly by the receptionist when we returned from our city tours. The location of the hotel is very good.

I stayed at Mercure Raphael Wien for 4 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel has an excellent location – in a quiet neighborhood, yet very close to public transport, which makes it an ideal base for exploring Vienna. Shops and everyday conveniences are also nearby, which adds to the comfort of the stay. The rooms were clean and tidy, though a small renovation would be welcome to freshen up the interiors. Despite this, everything was comfortable and well kept. Overall, a very good choice for a short city break and I would recommend it especially for sightseeing-focused stays.

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The mattresses are catastrophic, so I even have back pain now. From 6am you could not sleep at all as very loud noises could be heard from the breakfast room as chairs were pushed across the floor. These noises were clearly audible into the room. The breakfast didn't convince me either. The bread was obviously not fresh and did not taste good at all. Overall, the stay was very uncomfortable and I can not recommend this place unfortunately.
