⭐ 1/5 – Very disappointing experience. I do not recommend Hotel Bellevue Wien. On 13 August 2026, at around 1:00 AM, I returned to the hotel and was told by the receptionist that I would not be allowed to go back to my room unless I paid an additional €100 “room cleaning” fee. I had caused absolutely no damage to the room, bathroom, furniture, or any hotel property. The only issue was a few tissues/pieces of paper on the bathroom floor. When I questioned the €100 charge and asked why I had to pay it, the receptionist repeatedly told me that it was “not his problem,” that I had to pay, and that he would not let me return to my room unless I paid. It was around 1:00 AM and my personal belongings were inside the room, so I felt I had no practical choice but to pay. The hotel then issued an invoice describing the €100 specifically as “Reinigung des Zimmers” (room cleaning). I checked the hotel’s publicly available information and could not find any published condition stating that a €100 cleaning fee applies in such circumstances. Their own FAQ also states that room cleaning is provided daily. What makes the experience even worse is that when I first arrived, the pillows in my room were dirty, but I did not complain or create any problem for the hotel. Charging me €100 despite there being no damage, and refusing me access to my room at around 1:00 AM until I paid, was completely unacceptable in my experience. I have kept the invoice and have submitted formal complaints regarding this incident. Based on my experience, the customer service was extremely poor and I would not recommend this hotel.

DISAPPOINTING!!! For a 4-star hotel, I would say that I should not have found air conditioning that was malfunctioning so badly, so much so that I could not sleep well at night. Furthermore, in the room, condensation was dripping onto the floor and soaked the entire carpet. The air conditioning was non-existent in the hallways and common areas, except for the breakfast room. Finally, even more serious, cleaning was done only 1 time out of 4 mornings spent at the hotel. Therefore, full trash cans and towels not changed. When I went to make my complaints the evening before and to ask for a free taxi service to the airport, I was told that they could not do it. I confirm DISAPPOINTING!!

Dated hotel, old amenities, only one elevator, heritage suite means a room with two twin beds and an army cot! absolutely unprofessional staff.
