A few blocks from the chaos of Stephansplatz, but quiet. Take a turn down a quiet street and it will feel local (upscale, but local). The hotel is quaint Viennese styling. Rooms have everything you need and staff were always available. A few blocks from public transport options as well.

The Schlosshotel Römischer Kaiser is my favorite hotel—quite simply, the finest I have ever stayed in. The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of everything. The décor is beautiful, the rooms are elegant, spacious, immaculate, and lovingly maintained, and the atmosphere captures exactly the sophisticated Viennese glamour I had hoped to find, but never truly expected. Despite its central location, the hotel is pin-drop quiet. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, making for an exceptionally restful stay. The staff are friendly, attentive, gracious, and genuinely committed to making every guest feel welcome. We had a wonderful five-day stay, but I would especially like to recognize two employees who made our visit truly unforgettable. First, thank you to Ahmad at the front desk. From arranging restaurant reservations to answering every one of my emails and questions with remarkable speed and kindness, you made the entire experience effortless from before we arrived until after we returned home. It was a pleasure getting to know you, and your hospitality and customer service are truly exemplary. And a very special thank you to Mirza in the breakfast room. Rarely do you encounter someone with such professionalism, warmth, dedication, and pride in what they do. Mirza's attention to detail deserves special recognition. He elevates hospitality to an entirely different level. The breakfast buffet is absolutely stunning. During our five-day stay, every morning it looked just as beautiful as the day before. Every place setting was beautifully prepared before breakfast began, and throughout the morning Mirza ensured that every detail—from the place settings to the buffet itself—remained immaculate. The moment a slice of cheese disappeared or a piece of fruit was taken, it was quietly and immediately replenished. I've never witnessed such meticulous care given to every aspect of a breakfast service. Coffee was prepared to order without delay, eggs were cooked exactly as requested and served with a smile, and throughout what is clearly a fast-paced, demanding job, Mirza remained calm, gracious, and completely unflustered. He is a master of his craft, and I sincerely hope the hotel realizes what a tremendous asset he is. I genuinely looked forward to breakfast every morning. It became one of the highlights of each day. This hotel is amazing! If you are looking for an old European boutique hotel with modern conveniences this is your place! Gorgeous rooms with old Europe design and furnishings. Comfortable beds and everything you need-coffee maker, hair dryer, etc. The location is ideal for seeing many major sites with great dining choices within a 5-15 minute walk. Best of all, every staff member is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend making Schlosshotel Romischer Kaiser your choice for your next stay in Vienna!
