Beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

Excellent Hotel, out of the chaos of the center but thanks to the subway, in a few minutes you reach the Basilica of Santo Stefano. Excellent sleep quality thanks to high mattresses and soundproof windows. Rooms and bathrooms spotless. Remember (as in most hotels now) to display the redo room tag when you leave. We only had the overnight stay. Breakfast cost 20 euros per person and with that amount, we always preferred to have breakfast in the Center turning between the various pastry shops.

Late in arriving as my flight was two hours late. I went to my room and dumped my bag and came downstairs at 11:21 as the bar closed at 11:30. However, the bar was closed and I couldn’t get a drink. The girl on reception told me there was a bar inside the cinema so I walked along but it was very isolated and I didn’t feel safe, plus I couldn’t find the entrance so I came back to the hotel. There was also no food available but a vending machine where I could get a pack of Tuc biscuits. Not exactly substantial or satisfying after a long flight. The girl recommended the Foodora app, but that was a nightmare to use as it wasn’t in English and I kept having to translate the pages. I now go to bed hungry and tired. I did however manage to get a teabag and have just boiled the kettle for a cup of tea. Overall a very disappointing start to my stay.
