Simm's Hotel

Nice hotel, nice rooms. Nice clean bathroom. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Close to public transport. Friendly and helpful staff. Too bad the card for the elevator didn't always work

We had a good experience here. The staff were polite and when we had an issue mid stay with no power they moved us straight away to a close room on the same floor that had more space. Breakfasts were good, all we needed to fill us up. It is a bit out of the main town but the underground and tram stops to get in are literally outside the hotel door. We got a 24 hr pass for €10 but you can do one off trips for €3 each. We were where we needed to be in under 15 mins. We got the S7 from the airport (much better value at €5 each rather than €15 for the ‘green’ train and it was about 10 mins walk, total 40 mins from the airport train and walk. We ate earlier in the day so didn’t have dinner near the hotel but there was a good Irish bar over the road and the hotel has a bar open till late.

A week ago, I visited Vienna. We went there with my classmates as a school trip, we stayed 3 nights and it was a nightmare. The staff was far too rude and insubordinate. For instance, when we had to do the check out, the staff told us that we had damaged the rooms by making small dirty spots in the rooms. Well to tell you the truth in 1 of the 24 rooms there was something drawn but in the other 8 or 9 rooms were small dots. In the end, they refused to give our advanced payment, (it was approximately 1600€)as they told us that they have to paint all the walls with the small dots. If this will happen, we will request for the receipt of the painted walls. Some of the staff, were mocking our teachers, because the didn't want to embrace our opinion. So, I don't recommend this hotel at all cost, it is better to give 200€ extra for a good experience in a hotel than been stolen.
