The Crown Hotel

Such a nightmare was staying in this hotel, Totally overrated hotel ,it could be hardly 2 stars not a 5 stars. Worst employees,not helpful at all,they dont know how to smile to a custome (Amir & Murad specially),they know nothing about customer care,imagine they told us we can not provide you an extra pillow because the door of where they keep the stuff is closed and they didnt have the key. Wifi is usually not working,bad smell inside the rooms. A/C is not working So simply a disaster is waiting for you if you book in this hotel. What a shame!!!!

I have given this facility an average rating due to the fact that there were some very positive aspects however they were contrasted with some very negative aspects. For instance, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The pool is superb, the breakfast was very nicely done with a variety of selections. The carpets in the halls and our room were new as was the mattress. The bedding was very nice too. The wooden furniture appears to all be new and in good repair but the table, dining chairs and chaise longue were of the wrong size and use for the room and there was no sofa or easy chairs. The kitchen was poorly equipped. For example it has a pitcher but no glasses. The trim molding around the door was missing. There was black mold on the caulking between the tub and tile which should be treated with a little bleach. There is a sewer gas smell throughout the upper floors of the hotel. This usually happens when the plumbing system doesn’t use p-traps (a curved pipe that has water in it to stop the gasses from backing up into the room). This last item really offsets some of the other more positive things that have been done in this older building. The Panoramic restaurant was excellent. We ate there several times and thoroughly enjoyed everything we had. The staff were wonderful.

Despite of the bad comments I have read with some of the guests who stayed in this property. I can say the guests have their own views and opinions. In my opinion, this property is not bad at all! Staffs are accommodating and is willing to assist whenever they can. If your a guest staying in an economy room (like I do) ☺️ please do not expect too much as it is good for backpackers and budget travelers. All economy rooms I can say are smoking since I can smell the cigarette smoke of the other room. So far, we can sleep comfortable @ night and our bathroom is good and well maintained. Breakfast I can say is a typical local dish which I like too! 😊
