Sandton Grand Hotel Reylof

An elegant and exquisite hotel, possibly my favourite hotel in Europe! The location is perfect, the garden patio is lovely and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive. We would stay here again if we return to Ghent.

The hotel is excellent, the location as well, breakfast, restaurant, and bistro are of high quality, the rooms are spacious, well-furnished, and clean. There is a beautiful garden and the possibility to eat and drink at outdoor tables. It's a shame about the staff; the young people are too inexperienced, unprepared, and lack a reliable guide. We had the impression that they were students, but in a hotel of this level, there are too many and they are poorly supervised. They made all sorts of mistakes, including removing dirty cutlery from the plates, placing it on the table while food residues dripped, and taking away only the plates (like in taverns). None of the "experienced" ones noticed.

Our stay at the Pillows Hotel Ghent was exceptional from start to finish. The level of service and attention to detail was outstanding, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our visit. Every member of the staff was warm, professional, and always happy to help, creating one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with everything maintained to a very high standard. It's clear that the team takes great pride in ensuring guests have a memorable stay. We also highly recommend renting the hotel's bikes to explore Ghent. It's a fantastic way to discover the city's charming streets, canals, and historic sights at your own pace. Without a doubt, this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in, and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Highly recommended!
