Stayed for two nights on a group business trip in October 2016. Great location within walking distance to the centre of Bruges. Check in was nice and quick, breakfast good, room was clean and staff friendly.

Awful. We love Bruges and have visited 8 times so far and this is way the worst place we have stopped in. The sink leaked and they had put a glass to catch the drops but this had overflowed and wet all the towels which were placed underneath the sink. The breakfast was meagre to say the least, cheap cornflakes, a boiled egg and bread and jam (although the bread selection was good) The room was sparce and tired with marks on the wall and ceiling where previous guests had killed the mosquitos. The breakfast the second day was better (with added cheese and ham) but again you were offered coffee once and never refilled. (perhaps it's because they were other guests that day!) As I have since seen the posts of other guests, he refused to accept either credit cards or cheques and we had to waste 20 minutes to get cash out of the machine. When I arrived with the cash he took the money and said goodbye without giving me the change and after the second time he said goodbye I had to ask and with bad grace he did give me what I was due. In brief, the location is great, but the owner switches of the internet at 10.30pm along with the heating and is only in it for the money. Avoid at all costs as it spoilt our time in Bruges

Great location, walkable to anywhere in central Bruges in 5-10 minutes but that's the only positive. Check in sort of okay, you ring a number when you arrive get given some instructions and then you're good to go, all very James Bond. Room size okay, decor very tired, furniture tired, no real toiletries, hairdryer or tea/coffee facilities, so all you get is a room. Breakfast basic rolls, croissants and jams, coffee good though. Main sting was when checking out and despite advertising that they took credit cards tried to claim only cash on check out and give directions to the nearest ATM. I refused and then he reluctantly took my credit card details, clearly just trying to scam people to avoid the credit card fees I guess. So if you want a roof over your head in a great location then this could work for you, but that's all you'll get. Bruges is expensive but this is certainly on the basic end of provision.
