Hotel O Ieper Grote Markt

Large group booking. 40+ on coach. Based ourselves at the hotel to visit the WW1 sites in the area. The most fantastic location in centre of town. Close to bars & restaurants & Menin Gate. Room large & roomy. Large bed. Had to ask for second pillows which came straight away. Not many hangers but we lived out of our suitcases anyway. Bathroom good for us. Powerful shower however some in our party stated the bath filled with water when they showered, obviously needs unblocked. Continental breakfast which was fine. Some rooms complicated to get to as there are 2 lifts & room numbers are confusing but all good when you get used to it. Some remedial works going on which is why the aircon wasn’t working, hottest week of the year!!! Yes I’d stay here again.

Stayed for four nights in March 2026. Booked a single room. The room was clean and tidy, with a single bed and a bathroom. Breakfast was included, this was continental, with yoghurts, cereals, breads, pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon, boiled eggs, toast, fruit juices and hot drink facilities. All excellent. The location was the main reason for my booking as the hotel is located right on the main square, a very short walk from the In Flanders Fields Museum, and five minutes walk from the Menin Gate. There was some noise outside the room of other visitors but this was not too distracting and was not constant. It's to be expected in any hotel. All in, I would recommend and would certainly book again in any future visits.

Stayed at Hotel O perfect for Menin Gate & also handy for the town . Very good choice for Breakfast .Rooms were clean .Will definitely stay here again Parking is free on Sunday in the Main Square
