Hotel Bero

Decent hotel, friendly staff, spacious room. Unfortunately, we will not return because there is a parking area indicating its use for a short duration for unloading luggage. By the time I made the payment and retrieved the badge for the underground parking (6 minutes in total), I received a fine of 40 euros from Ostende mobil'o. I contested it and never received a response from them (the city of Ostende is quite friendly 😠). I have as proof a screenshot with the payment times at the hotel compared to the ticket. What a shame! We will now continue to go to the Royal Astrid where we have never encountered this problem.

We arrived at Hotel Bero convinced we would have a great experience, and that is exactly what happened. We stayed in a fairly spacious room, although we found it a bit dirty (I found shelled pistachios under the bed and an empty water bottle on the floor), despite everything we slept well. The staff member was courteous and helpful even late in the evening when we needed the TV remote, which I had not found in the room. The breakfast was very good with a lot of variety to choose from. The pool is not too large, but the wellness area is very nice overall. A negative point was that we could not open the window because a small air conditioner had been installed. The room did not have air conditioning (as described), and we were thankful for the small air conditioner. The bathroom is small but has all the essentials. Great location, facing the beach but also very close to the station. Excellent experience, we will definitely return.
