Chabil Mar Resort

We just got back from a 4 night stay with my family of 4. Villa 1 was impeccable - great space, great views and very well appointed. We hit the rainy season so one day we had heavy thunderstorms that limited our ability to get out and explore. We were perfectly happy to stay in and play Monopoly while watching the World Cup games. The pools were perfect for our boys age 10 and 12. The beach is beautiful, but It’s sargassum season so we didn’t get in the water. They worked hard to keep the beaches clean and we were fine to lay out and enjoy the sounds of the sea. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful; truly impeccable hospitality. We took an excursion to Monkey River with Percy Gordon (who appeared on Jack Hanna’s show many years ago); definitely a core memory for our boys. Also, fresh mangos falling into your hands (and the iguanas) … need I say more? Overall, we highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay from start to finish. The staff was exceptionally warm, welcoming and friendly. The flowers and landscaping on property are beautiful, adding a sense of serenity and calm. Our kids loved the two pools and the two bedroom unit we booked worked great for our family of 4. And, the onsite F&B service was super convenient - we ordered poolside and roomside, as well as at bar. Would certainly book Chabil Mar again.

Great experience at Chabil Mar. Our Villa was perfect, right on the beach and in between the two pools. We utilized the shuttle to the village multiple times and the service was easy and helpful. Fernidad at the bar was awesome and took care of us with before and after dinner drinks. When we go back to Placencia Chabil Mar will be the place we stay.
