Belcampo Lodge

My wife scheduled this trip and as far as I was concerned it was too far away and for too long. We had 6 days in Copal Tree Lodge. I did a lot of relaxing and some site seeing and a little work. The #1 best thing here is a tie between the incredible/amazing staff and the natural beauty of the property. You will be constantly breath taken with all the views and the beauty at the same time you are soothed and relaxed by the environment. They maintain the place with remarkable perfection in tune with nature - a very lush rainforest. Their coffee is best Ive had, their rum is fantastic as is their chocolate. They deserve all the great reviews on the food because it is over top. My favorite was all the breakfast choices. Each one I had was perfect. Im a steak snob from Texas and was blown away by two different steak tenderloin dishes. Lots of fresh fruit. Lots of great dessert that my kids let me share a bite with…. I can’t include every name here but the ladies working the restaurant at breakfast were all beautiful people with such great energy. Speaking of energy, the best energy was in a chance meeting with massage therapist Marie. We met briefly and she was so nice I thought I should schedule an appointment. So glad I did and so glad we met. Fantastic massage and I wish I could have done three more. Unique technique that instantly relaxed me has really helped my sleep and stiffness in my low back and neck. The massage room had stunning views and I am still thinking back on it all - especially the magnificent Marie. Schedule a massage and you wont regret it. Tim at the bar became a friend. He operated the place as if he owned it. He was so nice to our family and worked hard to make every drink or dish he brought just perfect. We all loved him. The ladies who greeted us to the property were so nice, the guys running the chocolate making tours, the tour guides Nate, Fernando, Andreas, Sheppard, and we all loved Elon. Too many to mention them all but so many people stood out. I thought it was gonna be too far and too long - now I miss it and would go back again given the chance. Thank you Copal Tree Lodge. The memories will remain. Your kindness will not be forgotten.

We recently spent part of our honeymoon at Copal Tree Lodge, and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. No single detail was overlooked in the accommodations, food, experiences, or hospitality. When asked by management over dinner what could be improved, we could not think of a single thing that could have been better or more thoughtfully curated. Following a fun day of fishing, the lodge staff overheard us talking about the experience, including a grouper we caught and chose to give to the guide. The following night at dinner, we were surprised with locally sourced fresh grouper. It wasn’t on the menu, it was just for us. The habit of this staff to go above and beyond to make our experience magical and unforgettable will not be soon forgotten.
