GLORIETA

We stayed a couple nights here in Sucre. First, they put us in a suite with one bed. The front desk person was really nice as she had a bed moved into our room. The decor needs some serious updating as I felt transported back to the 70s. I bet it was a nice hotel then , but in need of major remodel. Sinks 70 ' s pink and cracks on tile in bathroom. The breakfast was the best part. Room was by busy Bolivar street, so traffic did cause problems. Overall, it was overpriced. Probably better options in town.

This place was disappointing. Rooms are large and bright, but location on a busy corner means a lot of street noise day and night. Room lockbox and keycard system weren't working. Breakfast is absolutely terrible (and I'm not fussy). Laundry service was incompetent. Service personnel were nice, but hotel may be unable to provide adequate services in off season.

Pros: Clean. Comfortable bed. Great location near the central plaza. Kind staff members. Decent breakfast buffet. Good wfii. Top floor has a nice scenic view of the city. Cons: Shower only went to extremes. Rooms are far from soundproof. The breakfast buffet was just decent. No fitness center. Summary: An overall decent place to sleep at night.
