I stayed here on business in (what seems to be) the infrequently traveled Rio Branco. And what a shame, since the service, restaurants, and city exuded nothing but charm and sophistication. The hotel is not fancy by any means, but makes up for this in genuine quality service. The restaurants affiliated with the hotel were excellent (again, not fancy-just high-quality) and there seems to be a great sense of attentiveness to one's job. Whatever is asked for is handled quickly and done right the first time. Breakfast is a nice affair, and the steakhouse across the street is excellent (and I only eat vegetables and fish). Great job all around by the staff here. Full disclosure: My room charges were handled by my employer, so I cannot fairly comment on value, but as far as staying in a great hotel and enjoying the charming and very safe-feeling neighborhood, an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
