Driving down the street to the Lord Hotel at night you would be forgiven for thinking really bad things about the place. However, during the day the place transforms into a bustling market place full of life and colour.
The hotel itself is a bit rundown and the carpets need replacing. The excellent staff more than made up for the lack of investment by the owners.
From reception staff to bar staff to the cleaners, everyone was extremely helpful and polite. They were patient and obliging and nothing was too much trouble.
The owners REALLY need to put some money into redecorating the place and stocking the bar properly. The bar staff do their best with what they have but it's hard to serve drinks you don't have. And I'm talking about white wine!!! Not something weird and wonderful!!
All in all though a pleasant experience and very close to local attractions.
