Pousada Tropicalia

I closed a 6-day package at the inn. Good structure, good breakfast and excellent value for money. Excellent location close to Mucugê Street, I stayed a few years ago in a guesthouse next door. Special note is the team we had the most contact with, Sara, Fernanda, Carol and Nilza. It was worth a lot.

The pousada is impeccable. 100% German gründlichkeit. Secondly, the people are friendly & warm-hearted. Third, the location is next to the beach and chiringuitos. Lastly, amazing weather, no loud music, no traffic, a massive beach with white sand and calm water just for yourselves.

Pousada Tropicalia is my secret get-a-way from the bustling city of Salvador Bahia. After my business is done in Salvador I take the 45 min ferry ride to the peace and calm of Itaparica Island. This beachfront pousada has clean rooms, great beds, good food and the perfect ambiance for me to catch up on my rest. I love waking up in the morning and taking a nice jog on the secluded beach during our (USA) summer months of July and August. Fred, the owner, is the perfect host and bar tender during “happy hours”. I stumbled onto this delightful pousada (7) sevens years ago and I’ve stayed here a couple of days every year since.
