Eurostars Brisas Do Lago

I stayed here for pleasure and recreation during Easter in April 2017. The location of the hotel is ok if you want a quiet spot, but there is literally nothing around. It is impossible to walk somewhere, you will need to have a car. This place seems to be a combined hotel and apartment complex used as a weekend place or even people living there permanently. Accordingly there was quite some construction ongoing and we asked to change rooms since they were close to a construction place with lots of noise. The room itself is very spacious with a separate living room and bedroom. The interior is new, although already worn down quite a bit in some areas. There is a kitchenette too, but completely empty. I don't know why it is in the room at all. The breakfast is OK, but I stayed at other intercity hotels where it was much better. The pool area is nice, but very small. It was not crowded when we were there, but when it is i am sure it is too small to fit all the guests. The gym is ok, but it is very very hot inside. It is lacking a door on one entrance which means there is constantly hot air streaming in. Overall it does not meet the expectations I'm afraid.

This hotel has long and short stay, at a very reasonable price, that is ideal for the visiting executive community, There are ample facilities, restaurant and bar, good taxi service and Uber pick is easy.

The location is great if you have a car or a driver to take you/bring you. The building is new as the premises. Service ... well .. service is not of the best you can get .. Rooms are light, very clean and quiet. The hotel is away from the city traffic, noise and polution, the views of the lake are amazing and the swimming pools and gym are very good. Weird things: NO SPORTS CHANNELS in the TV Cable!!! No channels in English, not even CNN!!! nothing!!! These days the Copa America Centenario is broadcasting, as well as the NBA Finals .. so guess what? you have to go somewhere else, because in this crazy hotel they have 5 channels to follow the crooks in the Brazilian Senate blaming each other for the corruption cases, and there is no international television much less sport TV!!!! ridiculous!! No iron or iron board in the rooms ... that is not asking too much; in the civilized world every hotel (even express) has an iron .. well . not here .. so, your choices are clear, you either pay USD 4 to get your shirt ironed, or .. walk in wrinkles!! Internet is lousy, inestable and slow. Really, a waste, a waste of place, location with a VERY POOR management. Good knows who these Intercity are, but obviously have no idea about managing a hotel with international practices. Not having channels in Spanish or English, not even having sports .. what are guests expected to watch? Brazilian soap operas or the drammas of the Brazilian Senate!!??? gimme a break!!!
