Promenade Champagnat

Bad experience!!!! For the first time in my life I see an apartment-hotel that guests cannot use the common areas, sauna, pool, gym, only locals can use. I rented by Airbnb, an advertisement in which all these amenities were offered and during the stay the Syndica simply decided to change the rules. An absurd, don't stay in this place!!!!! Excellent and you can't use anything! BAD HOSPITALITY AND BAD SYNDICATE!

Back here on business after a break of several years, but won't stay here next time. Hotel rooms showing effects of over-use and limited maintenance. Stains on furniture, peeling lining in the shower, paint damage, doors showing age....... Breakfast very limited. There are better choices in the area.

The hotel is in the Savassi area of BH, a very nice and safe residential area, with many dining options within walking distance. The rooms are spare but very big (bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room). The staff was nice and friendly, very willing to help. My only complaint is the lack of noise isolation (only single pane windows). Most of the rooms face to R. Santa Rita Durao, but the cross street R. Pernambuco seems to have traffic at all times of day. After the first night I asked for a room facing the backside, and this helped with the traffic noise. However, this side faces an elementary school with very enthusiastic kids. This is not a problem if you get up early and are out most of the day. But if you are trying to sleep in or take a nap in the afternoon, the noise could be a problem. In all fairness, I'm a light sleeper, so I'm very sensitive to this issue, if you are a heavy sleeper this could be the perfect place for you.
