This hotel is really a total disappointment! Even calling it a "hotel" is exaggeration...Why it owns 2 or in some portals even 3*? Don't really know... 1* because it has doors???
The room was shabby, we even didn't want to place our handluggage somewhere. The interior was old and rotten. The air was smelling old. Windows couldn't be opened (as the reseption told "for security reasons" - no idea if thieves in the 14th floor enter by helicopter... The air condition I was afraid to switch on because of all the dust and dirt on it. No idea if it was ever used before.... The "stuff" at the reception were two bored guys - who seemed to be students or professional "chilling people" they were not motivated for anything, and did not speak ANY word of English (I experienced that English in Brazil is not widespread, but when anybody speaks English it is the hotel stuff... Sometimes good English, sometimes not that good but being friendly and trying to be helpful - these guys spoke no word at all and tried the google translator for communication. The question of getting another room was ignored - we stayed about 10 minutes (having booked for 3 nights), used the internet and found another hotel quite around the corner where we could get a room (the Continental Inn, 4*, not much more expensive but very much better!)! The money was spend in vain for this hotel but it was worth leaving immediately
Even if some pics might look not that bad - do NOT book this bad hostel (even hostel look better than this etablissement!!!

Was not the best hotel room we ever stayed but was clean... bed was a bit hard, old decorated... old fashion tv with no remote and broken aerial. Breakfast was ok... bread was hard, nothing had a name so you have to guess what the food was... so for the price couldnt ask for a plasma tv and fluffy bed.but location was good, staff is friendly.

I have been there for 4 nights and I've found the service very good.
The structure is quite old and probably needs some renovation, but everything works properly. If you don't care about the appearance it's the place for you. Consider that for the same price of an hostel you are still in a hotel, the room is cleaned and towels are changed every single day!!!
PROs:
Very close to the major clubs, pubs and nightlife places.
Very close to the main bus stops for paraguay, and the falls (cataratas).
Breakfast is included and varied.
Dinner is very cheap ( 25R$ ), organized as a buffet in which you can eat as much as you can. I didn't have lunch so I have no information about it.
Employees are kind and available for everything.
Italians will enjoy the presence of a bidet in the bathroom :)
CONs:
Wifi is free only in the reception are and suffers a lot when many devices are connected. However you can pay 10R$ for three days and you get the connection in your room.
Electric outlets are very old , you'd better bring with yourselves a power strip (3in1) and buy an adapter (6R$).
