I stayed in a room located below the reception, the living area and the restaurant. Even before receiving the key, I asked the receptionist about the room location and possible noise issues. I was informed that the apartment was not located below the restaurant, which later proved incorrect.
The next morning, around 6am, I was awakened by an intense noise of chairs being dragged and the movement of people on the upper floor. The noise level was so high that it made it impossible to continue resting. In addition to the discomfort caused by the lack of acoustic insulation, the feeling of having received incorrect information from the reception was quite frustrating.
I understand that hotels have structural limitations, but transparency with guests is essential. If a room is located in an area subject to significant noise, this should be clearly indicated or preferably avoided when other options are available.
Unfortunately, the quality of the rest, which is one of the main reasons for staying in a hotel, was far below what was expected on this stay.
