For the price, this place filled the requirement to be in the heart of the beach and entertainment area of Recife. No luxuries here, and the wi-fi, which was meant to be free, was spotty and had to be renewed daily even though there was supposedly no charge (that policy seemed to vary according to who was on the front desk.) But I had no problem with my booking and the room was available as described when I arrived by taxi from the airport. Discovered later that the hotel will in fact send an airport shuttle, so I availed myself of that service on the way back to the airport. The bar across the street has a worthwhile happy hour and the beer flows cheaply. Food is also discounted then. Other more notable eateries are within easy walking distance. The hotel breakfast is adequate but nothing special, but it is included in the price making this even more of a deal. Beach is also within walking distance, or the hotel will provide a shuttle if you don't feel like schlepping all of your gear the few blocks walking it takes to get there. I would judge this a step above a hostel, and worth the price for those looking to visit Recifie without breaking the bank!
