Pousada Pier 7400

From the deceiving photo we were expecting a beach front hotel. First of all, do not use Google maps to find this place. We attempted to drive here using Google maps and we ended up in a favela. The top of the favela. Granted this was a back water city so it wasn't life threatening, it was still really disconcerting. When we arrived, in low season, we still were paying over 100USD. Definitely not worth it. The room was small, dingy and had a tiny bathroom. It definitely didn't feel clean. There are no nearby restaurants so you are relegated to eating at the pousada unless you have a car. The beach itself was small, maybe 150 feet long and not pleasant. You are essentially staring at a shipping and cargo harbor. The WiFi was also brutal. They shut off the router at night for some reason... There are definitely nice beach front hotels and pousadas in Brazil, but this isn't one of them.

Great location, my bedroom was literally over the beach. Nice bar at the pier where we can have our mieles. The bedroom was quite nice although needs some maintenance, anyway it has a goog price-quality relation. Friendly staff specially at the reception and bar. A day trip boat through the islands can be booked at the hotel. The boat will take you at the pousada pier, couldn't be more convenient! It has a litthe swimming pool suitable for children. The place was a bit difficult to find, the indication in the google earth were wrong, the best indication is on the pousada website.

I've been there for six days/five nights, during this period the swimming pool kept very dirty, turn it unusable, also the snack of pier remain closed and the breakfast had little sort of food. I'm not sure, but I think they don't care about guests joy when there are just a couple of them, maybe when all of rooms was occupied, they do things better ( or not ). The room in front of sea has great landscape. The short beach beside it has clear water, but dark sands. The employees were very polite.
