Bad experience. When making the reservation we are not informed that there is no breakfast. Bed with mattress looking like wood, dark room, shower with cold water, yellow water, no place to store the belongings inside the room (we had to leave everything inside the bags), the TV control does not work. Dirty pool. I was in the hostel in 2019 and the level was different. The hostel was excellent. That's my disappointment now. I don't indicate to anyone! Except for the two night staff, who are very polite, the rest is terrible.

I stayed at Pousada Recanto das Tartarugas by Economic Rental (Carlos Eduardo) via Booking, on a solo trip for 17 days (20/09/24 to 07/10/24). At the time I paid R$729.22 considering that suite 02 accommodates up to four people, the price does not change. I arrived at the guest house well before the schedule and was very well received by Juliana who allowed me to early check in, so she unoccupied the suite and the collaborator cleaned it. Who welcomes us is a family and very close collaborators. It is captivating the synergy between them are cordial and friendly - brought with me misses. Entering the suite, as usual, I checked if the electrical items were working perfectly and if the room corresponded to the pictures of the rental. All appliances ok, but the TV has no remote control, the Queen bed in the photo is a mattress with springs (irregular) double, the air conditioner empty plenty of water on the balcony and makes a huge well (dirty the room and there is danger of slipping) - as a "palliative" I put a small hose running the water from the air conditioner to the tiles. No curtain, I used as "palliative" aluminum paper. The rash, behind the toilet, does not drain the water; it is clogged. There is no cabideiro (in the photo) and no type of barrel. There is no glass, cutlery and not even dishes - from my experiences with the Economic Rental is the first time that these items were not made available. Cleaning items: stove, pad, rope, bucket and floor cloth they provide if you request, free of charge. Bedding, bathroom and toiletries can be rented/bought. The guesthouse is very nice has a couch in "L" at the reception and many tables available on a balcony. There's a cardboard table and a swing. This one doesn't work. The pool area is very pleasant, however, it needs maintenance, but I discovered there with Kenya (the owner of the hostel) that the pool is not part of the agreement "Economic Rental X Turtles Recanto", that is, Carlos Eduardo (the owner of the Economic Rental) does not assist in maintenance. The pool is used by the Pousada "Recanto dos Anjos" and generously Kenya allows both guests to enjoy the same. The Recanto dos Anjos is in the back of the car park and is complete as a hotel, but much more expensive. For those who go by car the parking is apart, but has a place in front can let the car sleep on the street is safe. The guest house does not serve breakfast, but they serve lunch at an affordable price: Executive menu R$30 or free Self service with two proteins R$25. The restaurant is full, the food is full and tasty. About the location is central, close to everything, in the "fervo" of Arraial do Cabo. In front of the hostel there are buses to Búzios, Araruama, Cabo Frio, São Pedro da Aldeia etc. I went to most beaches on foot (Anjos, Prainha, Praia Grande and Forno). The closest one is the Praia dos Anjos, very nice, with a life-saving post, kiosks and barzinhos foot in the sand. In the hostel we managed to hire the classic tours: Buggy, quadricycle and boat. There is a barbecue area in the parking lot, with access to the pool. According to Kenya this pool/churrasqueira combination can be rented as a day use, if you are interested to see the quote with it. About my stay everything was perfect, within my expectation, of what I had planned. The only disadvantage of the "Economic Rental" is that there is no renewal of the date or refund of the amount paid if you cannot make the trip.
