location of the hotel is great. It is at rua das pedras and there are lots of amenities near by. The sea in front of the hotel is not convenient to swim. To reach to famous beaches like fernandes, you just walk 50 m and get a minibus which you pay 2.8R$ for one way and takes you in around 7-8 minutes.. So by staying here you save lots of time and dont need a car. about hotel. It is actually a restaurant and to reach the hotel part you go tru the restaurant. It is not a very busy one so not a big problem. rooms are small but convenient. we could find a garden view room but i recommend the sea view ones. breakfast is nice. cleanliness of the hotel is also something that i liked. Internet is also working very well. The service is brasil makes crazy and you can multiply by three here. Communication is bad. requests are fulfilled late and service is very terrible as it is in Brasil. I like to thank you to the receptionist girl named mercedes who helped me on lots of requests

Loved the staff and the place itself but so disappointed by the owner. The place is worn and funky but quaint too. Typical third world charm. Our balcony table top was off center and it tipped over when one of us lightly brushed it. The top broke and we were lucky no one was hurt. The owner demanded we buy a new one at $500R but would not even show up over the course of 3 day stay to have a conversation with us about the incident. I offered to split the cost even though we had not done anything wrong. As I said, the staff was wonderful but they were caught in a hard place and had to parrot the owners orders. I won't go back and can't recommend you do either.

We really loved staying here because of the staff and location. Ivete and Carmen were so very helpful and gave us an early breakfast the day we were leaving, so that we could catch the 9.00 a.m. bus back to Rio.Taxis can come right to the door although it is a pedestrian street. We arrived very tired after a seven hour bus journey from Rio that should have taken only three hours. Traffic jams on the busiest day of the year - Friday, 2nd January. Had a great fillet steak meal at the Cigalon Restaurant on the premises to revive our spirits, very good service and friendly waiters. The rooms are basic and our room # 7 had a steep staircase to the bedroom, but a lovely view from the little balcony. The owners really need to spend a little money on replacing the cracked bathroom basins, torn shower curtains and grey thin towels and sheets. All this is forgiven because of the convenience of the place and the the staff. Our friend was given room # 1 on the second night with a great balcony overlooking the beach. Would definitely stay there again and hope that a little upgrading has been done.
