Pousada das Artes Hotel

We stayed at this hotel when it was new over 10 years ago and then again the other day and very much enjoyed our stay again, it may well be a little worn but all in all very nice and truly exotic architecture, a must see. The bed was not the best but the rest was great, fantastic shower, nice room and fairly good price for Palmas. The breakfast is average but definitely good, but the way the hotel is set up, reminiscent of a treehouse or jungle hotel, is attractive.

This is a really very pretty and nice place. It is one of the few with a pool and though small it is really refreshing. It was so nice to come back from a walk and cool off in the pool. The hotel layout is beautiful and I love the outdoors feel on the inside. Very tastefully done. The artwork in the rooms are a nice touch. There are plenty of electrical outlets to plug in and a spacious room. Showers are nice and hot and the door closes all the way. They get extra points for 2 bars oaf soap. Ask for the rooms near the pool. Breakfast was very nice. simple but very filling. Staff are really very helpful and even provided us with breakfast at 5am before our flight. The only thing the hotel is missing is a safe in the room.

If you are looking for a pet-friendly hotel, this is a gem, especially considering that Brazil, in general, is not a pet-friendly country. And if you do not like pets, you can be assured that the hotel has a great maintenance and its architecture allows a good insulation between the rooms. Analyzing the other attributes, the main pros are: cleaning, beautiful interior architecture, great staff, free shuttle to the airport, central location and ample free parking. This hotel is a great starting point for visiting the Jalapao (the main tourist attraction of Tocantins) or for business travelers.
