Diamond

First visit to Bulgaria and found St.Vlas to be a lovely , quiet resort with lots of nice places to eat and a fantastic beach. The Diamond apartments had easy access to beach and the main town a 10 minute walk away. Clean and spacious apartments with nice pool area and plenty of sun beds. Would visit them again.

this was our 2nd tripped to these apartments, and enjoyed even more so this time, the view down to the harbor and sea is excellent, and the diamond restaurant attached to the apartments is superb, with great food, fantastic view and setting plus great service, and all though not the cheapest, we found it to be the best quality. the surrounding area is a little hilly for those who struggle, but has plenty to offer, with sunny beach a bus ride or taxi away if you want a bit more life. the only issue we had was with the pool sun beds around the smaller pool, the majority were broken, also beware of steps, not regulated height, so you tend to trip up them.

Well what can i say went a couple of years ago and the place was superb, the customer service was excellent and rooms were good. fast forward a couple of years and even with same staff seems to have gone down hill. Right well where to start, The hotel is situated right by the marina and the location is brilliant for a quiet family or relaxing holiday. The two pools are well kept and maintained and you get amazing views over the seas this hasnt changed, It has the potential to be amazing and 2 years ago was outstanding, the grounds are very well kept and its easy access to the beach and surrounding areas. Sveti vlas is very laid back and is great to chill, if i can reccomend somewhere to eat try the watermill restraunt in same complex and is cheap and service is amazing. The onsite restaurant service is also amazing thou didnt find the food a s good this year now the bad parts,now i had issues with the hotel, it was claimed there was access to the reception for wheelchairs users this was not the case, the door doesn't open correctly so your unable to move the chair in correct position to enter reception area without falling off steps. plus there was a staff car always parked infront of the ramp. so we had issues with the room the air con kept breaking and leaking over the plug, there was no plugs in sink or bath, the towels were not changed and we were often left with dirty towels and sheets they were only changed twice the whole holiday, mostly stained and this was after alot of complaining. The was loose tiles and skirting boards and also the garden out the front had very sharp edges which led to wife cutting herself and was also full of loose and broken floor tiles. The room and decor was very tired and dated. the reception staff decided to say that they could not speak english when trying to speak to them in regards to issues but it was only cause i had been there 2 years earlier and spoke to same staff that i challanged them on it and only then would they co operate. so beware that your towels aernt cleaned as much as they claim and are just refolded everyday.
