This is not a hotel but a residential complex rated at best 3 stars. The corridors are dirty, the infrastructure is falling apart, and the grounds are poorly maintained. At the entrance, there are benches where the staff smokes. It's hard to relax because loud music constantly blares, making it impossible to sleep – and it's only old Bulgarian music.

I’ve been going to this hotel for 18 years and I classify this hotel and Bulgaria as my second home. This new investment company is making a difference the spa is fantastic and the beach bar has been restored and the sunbed mattresses are new. The Italian restaurant is the best in Ravda and the price is less expensive than Churchura and Castellos-which are still fine restaurants. Ravda is a great place for a family trip (don’t be tempted by Sunny Beach) you won’t regret it! -to the investment company please continue the drive for improvement see you in August.

If your idea of a relaxing holiday includes humiliation, absurdity, and a looming mental breakdown — look no further than Emerald Beach Resort in Ravda. You’re greeted not with a smile, but with the scowls of state clerks from a 1985 post office. The attitude is appalling, the information chaotic, and the arrogance on display should honestly be a university subject.
We were promised a complimentary extra night. I asked very clearly: “Is it free?” “Of course,” replied the sour-faced receptionist with that special Bulgarian tone that usually means “Brace yourself.” Sure enough, at checkout we were told: “That’ll be 280 BGN.” Surprise!
When I calmly protested, the manager – hostile and unapologetic – refused to verify what her staff had said and, for dramatic flair, called security on us like we’d tried to smuggle a flatscreen out of the room. We felt like fugitives at the border.
The rooms? Musty, depressing, with furniture straight out of grandma’s barn and sheets that looked like they’d survived communism. Hygiene is questionable, the atmosphere bleak. The blaring turbo-folk from the beach that starts at noon and ends around midnight will sandblast your brain cells. It’s the perfect soundtrack to a provincial dive bar dressed up as a “luxury resort.”
This place isn’t just bad — it’s an insult to anyone dreaming of a peaceful vacation.
Avoid. Run. Preferably with a car, a plane ticket, and a prayer.
