Glarus

Stayed here for 10 nights starting from 30th June which was a holiday to celebrate my 30th birthday. When I booked this hotel I informed the hotel that my stay was to celebrate my 30th birthday and to my amazement when I checked into the hotel on 30th of June and got my keys to my room from reception there was a male staff member who took mine and my mothers cases and lead us to our hotel room, I thought this was a lovely welcome and very polite. When I walked into my hotel room to my amazement it was decorated with birthday banners and balloons which I thought was amazing and lovely gesture. Our room was on the 1st floor front facing the pool and sea which was absolutely beautiful. Balcony was very big and spacious which was lovely. Bedroom had aircon and cleaners came every day to clean and give us fresh towels etc. We booked as half board, food was nice but fount a lot of the meals were very repetitive but still very nice and lovely variety of salad choices which I was happy about as temperatures was very hot. There is free wifi which was good and very handy. There is also a money/change on site in the hotel lobby which we fount rates was alot better within the hotel than most money change places on the strip. This hotel is a perfect location and you would'nt get any better if you are looking to be right on the sunny beach strip and literally cant get any closer as it is literally on your door step. Hotel is very clean , Only thing i can say is there is no kettle or iron in your room BUT if you ask the reception staff they will give you a kettle and an iron which when borrowing the iron from reception if you use it less than 1 hour it is free of charge. As for kettle reception staff gave us one and told us to keep it until our stay was over which was kind and very pleasant of them. I would defiantly recommend this hotel and I will defiantly be back. Thank you Glarus for a lovely 10 day vocation.

Just returned from another great 2 weeks at the Glarus. It was the 1st hotel I stayed in on my 1st visit 30 years ago and although we've tried some different hotels over the years we always return to the Glarus. Ok the breakfast isn't a full English far from it but we always find something to eat. The pool is lovely but sometimes the sunbeds are taken early on in the morning. The rooms are spacious and cleaned every day. Our cleaner was lovely and friendly as were the other ladies on the cleaning team. We always request a seaview room either 5th or 6th floor. Once the door to the balcony is closed you can't hear the noise from the bars on the promenade. The reception staff are always helpful especially the manageress Silvi. The hotel position is excellent across from the beach and with plenty of restaurants and bars in close proximity. All in all another great stay at the Glarus

After reading the mixed reviews we had concerns about our stay but had no issues at all. The hotel is in an excellent location rooms are very spacious bathrooms are clean and well looked after. The Aircon worked very well. We had breakfast it was fine it's not a "British" breakfast but plenty of choice for most people.
