Pretty outside. Guess good location. Close to Danube. June 8, temperature 31C . Read online pool is open. NO IT ISNT. No maps except in Bulgarian. Dated. Rooms need renovation! Lighting is dim. Curtains falling off rods. NO blackout curtains. Nowhere to put luggage. Sorry had to use shredded covered sofa for that. WORST breakfast in 15 days and here for 2 nights. Check in person with attitude. Very helpful night staff. We dont need it but if you need an elevator... there isn't any. Not sure what else there is to say.

Hotel is very good. In an excellent location, in the park by the Danube and just a 10 min walk to the major attractions, bus and train station. You can check in from 2. My only negatives are that the drains in the bathroom smelled unpleasant, putting the extractor fan on didn’t get rid of the smell. There was no kettle in the room. Otherwise room had everything including big double bed, TV, bathroom and fridge. Bathroom is quite small and when you shower the water goes everywhere, there is no good shower divider. Breakfast is included and from 07:30 until 10. I arrived at 9 and warm food was cold and not much left, but otherwise ok. I would stay again

Gorgeous, historic building starts off well. Location is excellent, by the park al I ng the Danube. Air conditioning was weak. Staff were pleasant but not especially helpful. Breakfast was mediocre.
