Diamond Palace II

A good placement in the center of Phnom Penh and nice and helpful staff. However, the room was dirty and the towels and bedsheets were stained. The central placement also led to it being very noisy in the nighttime. The hotel is okay if you look for a budget hotel, but do not expect it to be very nice.

Booked via Agoda for $10 a night. same place as Diamond Palace II/RS II Opposite the park. 2 rows of 4 rooms with the ones at the front having a view the ones at the back are quieter. The stairs are a bit steep. There's no lift. I got a small but decent sized room for 1 person. Wifi was good. There were 2 bottles of water in the room. I put them in the fridge (which was unplugged, doh!). Some of the plug sockets were a bit dodgy in the room. I asked to be moved to another room. This one was better. Most of the plug sockets worked and there was a wardrobe and it was on the 2nd floor.

I liked this place. Good value for money. Good location. There's cheap breakfast at sandwich around the corner or The Big easy. Free wifi. Very good aircon. Good view. Go for a room at the back if you can. They are shaded from the sun
