Pillar Hotel

We thought this stay was great value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were very lucky to receive rooms with beautiful river views, especially appreciated as we got prime viewing of the water festival activities on the water and in the streets. The beautiful parade of lit boats was breathtaking, which we were able to watch from our friends balcony and there was a lot of street activity and fun to people watch. Breakfast included in the price and it was good. The staff are kind and very helpful. We tried the restaurant for dinner one night as well and we were happy with our choice. The location of this hotel is good for easy access around town. Rooms were not made up daily but who cares. We’d stay here again. There is no elevator if this is a problem for you.

I'm appalled by the reviews that criticize the English ability of the staff. This is a cheap hotel in Phnom Penh, not the Ritz in London. You travel to get different experiences - vive la difference! That said, this has an unbeatable location, smallish but well equipped rooms, excellent breakfast with Western style coffee included, and charming, helpful staff if you treat them well and open your eyes. I'm sorry it took me so long to find this place.

Currently staying for a month in this hotel, the staff are really nice and always ready to help, yes English is poor but to be honest with a bit effort u can get ur massage across, I don’t know anything about the breakfast and dry clean yet but mostly coz I didn’t really ask, it’s close to the night market and the bars, pretty safe place with clean rooms and good service, all in all it’s a great place love them. If anyone is planning a visit and need any help finding things just comment and I’ll be more then happy to help :)
