ASPEN LODGE

We are from Nova Scotia, newly married and booked 2 nights at Banff Aspen Lodge. We spent 2 nights June 20 and 21 and were not disappointed. Although we had let the hotel know we would be on our honeymoon prior to arriving, nothing special was added to our room. When we asked about if they do anything for newly webs that would be special we received 2 oatmeal bars, a chocolate brownie and some free vouchers for specialty coffees. No big deal. Our room was #312, great views, short walking distance to downtown, underground parking with a parking lot behind as well. The room itself was very nice and spacious. The looks of the hotel from the outside may not look fancy, but this hotel is really nice very clean and a super friendly staff. The front of our room overlooked Banff Ave with mountain views and the back overlooked the pool, hot tub and sauna area. This area also has a fireplace with chairs to relax. There is also a towel room for guests. You will receive vouchers for breakfast which is served on the bottom level and a buffet style setting. Back to our room, as soon as you walk in the door is just inches away from the corner of the bed, which surprised us, but bedroom very spacious with a tv and dresser, night stands, lamps and digital alarm clock. Next you walk into an area that has sinks on each side of the hall area, the toilet and shower are in a room on it's own. There is space to hang clothes, a coffee station, with glasses, coffee cups, wine glasses, Nespresso machine, variety of coffee pods, creamers, bottle opener, ice bucket and water kettle. There is also a safe to keep your valuables, a small fridge that keeps beverages super cold, hair dryer but no iron or steamer. The next area had another tv, sofa, coffee table, sitting area, table/chairs and a credenza with more storage. There was lots of hot water for showering. The shower also has shampoo, conditioner and body wash locally supplied by the Rocky Mountain Soap Company. No complaints for our stay here and would definitely book this hotel next trip to Banff.

Probably our favorite hotel stay in many years! A beautiful hotel on the main street in town with easy walking to everything. But the best part was being checked in by Joel! We’ve never experienced such caring service. When we arrived a bit early to check in - no problem! There were still a couple of room options open and Joel took the time to walk us up to the one he thought we would like best - with a balcony overlooking Banff Ave and facing a mountain view that was awesome. The room was neat and sweet and clean. Joel’s extra care was amazing, and our stay was a pure delight. One of our best ever anywhere in the world. Thank you, Joel!

Was clean and tidy, but the breakfast was extremely poor. Not enough variety and what was available was not nice. Extremely expensive for the lack of hotel facilities.
