HAMPTON INN - SUITES BY HILTON

Easy access for us to visit family and access to the mountains. We stayed in a King size bed suite. Kitchenette was adequate, we only used the microwave and fridge/freezer but they had a stove top in the suite. Safeway nearby to pick up food. Value was good considering we had a room on the construction side viewing scaffolding during a weekend stay. We weren't there to see the view across the road either so pull the blind down and you're good to go. If view isn't a thing maybe negotiate a construction side price. Room/bed/bathroom were visibly clean. Breakfast was decent. I'm fairly sure it's the 5 gallon pail liquid egg omelette along with sausage one day and bacon the next. Waffles, toast, oatmeal and fruit all available along with coffee and tea. If you have some dietary restrictions I guess it's back to Safeway and use your kitchenette if you have one. I'd stay here again.

Location warning: this hotel claims to be in the University District. IT IS NOT. It’s not even university-adjacent. It’s at least a 30-minute walk to campus. I didn’t especially care about the exterior renovations. The inside needs some TLC - tattered carpet in the hallways, bubbling paint in the bathroom, and only one working electrical outlet that wasn’t already in use. There’s a phone charging pad on the tiny nightstand, and it worked… sometimes. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast options reasonable, although a little less wasteful packaging would be nice. Weirdest tv remote ever.

Instead of being comfy of our first time stay on our one night stay, that didn't happen. We couldn't sleep at all, The walls and curtains are seems dusty and you could literally smell the dust. The AC was old and button weren't even working. The bedsheets were Hella itchy , and by morning we had rashes all over our hands, the pillows were not so comfortable. Overall, our stay was terrible at all, not even close. I don't think we will book again in this hotel.
