Banff International Hotel

We were part of the Rocky Mountaineer group and were not able to stay at The Elk Hotel because it was full. We stayed offsight at a bed and breakfast. We met there to rejoin the train group to proceed to Lake Louise on 9/24/26 on a motorcoach and had a question regarding which motorcoach we were on for the trip to Lake Louise. Sara treated us very rudely because we were "not guests" at the hotel.. We feel all people entering the hotel should be treated respectfully.

Despite having made our reservation months ago, the check-in person at the desk was a "trainee" who knew virtually nothing. Our check in took 20 minutes or so, she kept having to ask another check-in person for help (there were only 2 on the desk with a large group arrival from the Rocky Mountaineer), we were sent to rooms up a flight of stairs with no elevator (as 2 women in our later 70s/80s), the rooms were OK but had paintwork/door broken issues, and this is not what one expects for the exorbitant price they charge!

Very nice and clean , spacious rooms . Perfect location , right in the middle of everything. Lovely restaurant. Can’t fault it and would definitely go again. Has an underground carpark
