Econo Lodge Edmonton

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When we got to our room, there were hairs in the bed and dirty, used socks inside the wardrobe. It was disgusting and completely unacceptable. To make things even worse, the electricity wasn’t working, so we didn’t even have proper lights in the room. When we went to the reception to complain, the staff simply told us, “What do you expect for so little money?” That response was unbelievable. No matter how much a room costs, guests should at least expect clean bed sheets and working electricity. Instead of helping us or offering fresh bedding, they dismissed our concerns. It was an absolute nightmare of a night. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

I had a good experience here. I had stayed at a more expensive hotel, before I transferred here, and I wish I had chosen this hotel previously. The housekeepers are kind. As a young, single female, I felt that the desk clerk watched out for me and I felt safe here. I give this place five stars. Plus, there is a restraunt downstairs; the food is absolutely delicious, and they are kind and generous. I would stay here again! Very understated!

Initial room checked into had dirty underwear in the closet, a distinct smell, the toilet broke, and the shampoo that was left in the room was empty. When I asked to switch rooms the initial response was to charge me. Second room had dirty handprints and markings anywhere you looked, a hole in the carpet which management decided to leave the torn out piece on top, and the bathroom light was so dim I had to use my phone to provide any sort of visibility. The train tracks rumble the entire building and if the window is open you are almost guaranteed to hear them. A door alarm was continuously going off through the entire night and into the morning. It is clear no staff does a walk around when they come in. A true disappointment of potential in this location as staff is careless and it is ran to make a buck.
